Abstract

V originále

In this study we investigated changes in the extracellular space parameters (volume fraction and tortuosity), as determined from concentration-time profiles of tetramethylammonium applied by iontophoresis, and the extracellular concentrations of energy-related metabolites (lactate, glucose, pyruvate) and glutamate, monitored by microdialysis, in the rat somatosensory cortex during and after transient hypoxia or hypoxia/ischemia.
