Abstract
The article focuses on the relation between locality and socio-spatial tensions in novels by Raymond Williams and Iain Sinclair from the perspective of a framing discussion which considers approaches to the characterization of postmodern social space in the work of the environmental philosopher Arran Gare and the sociologist Scott Lash.

Článek se zabývá vztahy mezi lokalitou a sociálně-prostorovými tenzemi v románech Raymonda Williamse a Iaina Sinclaira. Teoretické zázemí hledá v diskuzi, jež se soustředí na charakteristiku postmoderního společenského prostoru v dílech environmentálního filozofa Arrana Garea a sociologa Scotta Lashe.
