V originále
In the current ecological risk assessment of wastes, solid phase tests are ignored although the toxicity of solid wastes can't be sufficiently predicted from the aquatic tests of elutes. To verify the use of enchytraeids for that purpose, 28d reproduction test and 2d avoidance test with enchytraeids were performed on three types of wastes under the framework of EU waste ring test. Incineration ash, contaminated soil and wood were diluted with an artificial soil in scaled ratios and clear artificial soil was used as a control. The reproduction test was performed according to OECD guideline. The avoidance test lasted 2 days and it was designed as a two-chamber test system. The toxicity of wastes decreased in this order: wood > ash >> soil in the both tests. Avoid reaction, mortality and inhibition of reproduction increased with the increasing percent of ash or wood in the mixture. Enchytraeids were able to survive in the contaminated soil without avoidance to the control soil but their reproduction was reduced. Our results indicate that soil tests with enchytraeids are reasonable and practical for waste testing and reproduction seems more sensitive than avoid reaction.
