Abstract

The first business incubators in the world appeared in the 50s of the 20th century and they were spread abroad in the 80s. However, in the postcommunistics states the incubators started off after 1990 and especially after the entering these states to the EU. The business incubators serve as a tool for support of young enterprises and particularly for the innovative ones. One of the tasks of incubators is to increase survival rate of young firms. The incubators are usually established on the regional level. The business incubator is facility (building), which provides advantageous conditions for young firms. These conditions are e.g. subsidised rental, sharing of infrastructure, consultancy and other services for low prices. The article deals with analysis of business incubators in the Czech Republic. This analysis was made on the basis of questionnaire survey among the most importance business incubators in the Czech Republic. The analysis is focused on the following 6 areas: 1. basic characteristics of incubators (space, technical equipment, job created etc.); 2. operating services provided; 3. consultancy services provided; 4. training services provided; 5. quality of incubators and 6. financing of business incubators. The paper also deals with business incubators in the Czech Republic in generally, with their history and spatial location. The attention is paid especially to incubators, which were established or reconstructed due to support from the Structural funds. By the end 2008 about 20 incubators in the CR should be supported.

První podnikatelské inkubátory ve světě se objevily v 50. letech 20. století a k jejich rozšíření došlo v 80. letech. Avšak v postkomunistických státech začaly být hojněji využívání až po roce 2000, a to zejména po vstupu těchto států do Evropské unie. Podnikatelské inkubátory slouží jako nástroj pro podporu začínajících podniků a zejména pro podporu začínajících inovačních firem. Jedním z úkolů inkubátorů je zvýšit míru přežití začínajících firem. Jsou zakládány zejména na regionální úrovni. Podnikatelský inkubátor je zařízení (budova) určené začínajícím firmám, které jim má pomoci v počáteční fázi rozvoje podniku. Jsou to prostory, kde jsou vytvořeny výhodné podmínky pro začínající podnikatele. Těmito podmínkami jsou například zvýhodněný nájem, sdílení infrastruktury, bezplatné služby, další služby za zvýhodněné ceny. Článek pojednává o analýze podnikatelských inkubátorů v ČR. Tato analýza byla vytvořena na základě dotazníkového šetření mezi nejvýznamnějšími inkubátory v ČR. Dotazníkový průzkum se zaměřil na následujících 6 oblastí: 1. základní charakteristika inkubátorů (plocha, technické zázemí, vytvořená pracovní místa atd.); 2. poskytované služby provoz; 3. poskytované služby poradenství; 4. poskytované služby vzdělávání; 5. hodnocení kvality inkubátorů a 6. financování podnikatelských inkubátorů. Článek také obecně pojednává o podnikatelských inkubátorech v ČR, jejich historii, prostorovém rozmístění. Pozornost je věnována zejména podnikatelských inkubátorům, které vznikly anebo byly rekonstruovány díky podpoře ze strukturálních fondů. Do konce roku 2008 by takto mělo být podpořeno přibližně 20 inkubátorů.
