The presentation dealt with the outcomes of a research concerning the position of intonation centre in English utterances by Czech speakers. A comparison was drawn to a norm created by several native English speakers and certain tendencies caused by the influence of the mother tongue were identified.

Prezentace se zabývala dílčími výsledky výzkumu o umístění intonačního centra, jak se projevují u českých uživatelů angličtiny, porovnávala toto umístění se vzorovou normou vytvořenou rodilými mluvčími a poukázala na jisté tendence způsobené mateřským jazykem.
