Abstract
We studied 58 subjects (20-22 years). Systolic and diastolic blood pressures (SBP, DBP) and inter-beat intervals (IBI) were recorded beat-to-beat for 5 min (Finapres). BRS, and BRSf were determined by the spectral method at 0.1 Hz frequency range. To make a comparison of the quantitative effects of BRS and BRSf on SBPv possible, both variables were expressed as multiples of standard deviations: BRSsd = (BRS – mean BRS) / SD of BRS; BRSfsd = (BRSf – mean BRSf) / SD of BRSf. A negative correlation was found between SBPv and BRSsd (r = - 0.33, p<0.05), and between SBPv and BRSfsd (r = - 0.36, p<0.05). The multiple regression analysis showed higher regression coefficient of BRSfsd than of BRSsd (SBPv = 9.43 – 0.0052*IBI + 0.15*BRSsd – 1.85*BRSfsd, F = 2.92, p<0.05). The analysis revealed that the IBI independent index BRSf [mHz/mmHg] is a better indicator for evaluation of the effectivity of baroreflex sensitivity to suppress the SBP variability than the IBI dependent index BRS [ms/mmHg].
Abstract (in Czech)
Sledovali jsme 58 mladých zdravých osob (20-22 let). Srdeční intervaly (IBI), systolický (STK) a diastolický (DTK) krevní tlak byly zaznamenávány tep po tepu 5 min. Citlivost baroreflexu BRS a BRSf byla stanovena spektrální metodou v oblasti 0,1 Hz. Pro porovnání kvantitativního vlivu BRS a BRSf na variabilitu STK (STKv) byly indexy vyjádřeny jako násobky standardní odchylky: BRSsd = (BRS – průměr BRS) / SD BRS; BRSfsd = (BRSf – průměr BRSf) / SD BRSf. Byla nalezena negativní korelace mezi STKv a BRSsd (r = - 0,33, p<0,05) a STKv a BRSfsd (r = - 0,36, p<0,05). Multiregresní analýza ukázala vyšší regresní koeficient pro BRSfsd než Besed (STKv = 9,43 – 0,0052*IBI + 0,15*BRSsd – 1,85*BRSfsd, F = 2,92, p<0.05). Analýza odhalila, že na IBI nezávislý index BRSF (mHz/mmHg) je lepším indikátorem pro ohodnocení vlivu baroreflexu na utlumení krevního tlaku než IBI závislý index BRS.
