Abstract
Refluxní choroba jícnu je rozšířené onemocnění v běžné klinické praxi. Vyšetřovací metody, které jsou založeny na měření pH k záznamu kyselých epizod refluxu, jsou limitovány senzitivitou, specifickou a tolerantností pacientů kombinací impedance jícnu a pH záznamu zvýšíme možnost průkazu patologického refluxu a jeho charakteristiku, a to i bez vysazení antisekretorické terapie.
Abstract (in English)
Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD) is a common condition encountered in clinical practice. Catheter-based pH testing has several limitations, including issues of sensitivity, specificity, tolerability and the inability torecord non-acid reflux events. When combined with pH monitoring, impedance monitoring enhances the detection and characterisation of GORD and may have a role in the evaluation of certain specific symptoms that persist despite acid suppression therapy.
