Abstract
Media education is sometimes misunderstood just as one of the critical approaches that only strengthens the aspects of distance and anxiety towards the world of media, while it is frequently being forgotten for positive media influences and all the pleasures worlds of media bring along. The present paper aims at describing social and emotional learning through identification with fictional characters of audiovisual culture, namely the experience that becomes educationally relevant in the moment when character is identified with and this identification is further reflected by the subject, and thus the person takes a new social and emotional experience.
