V originále
Ascaridoid nematode species Brevimulticaecum heterotis (Petter, Vassiliades and Marchand, 1979) was obtained by parasitological dissection from the intestine of the African bonytongue, Heterotis niloticus (Cuvier) (Arapaimidae, Osteoglossiformes), during a survey of fish parasite in the Niokolo Koba National Park (East Senegal) in the area of Mare Simenti. Two different methods of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used for its morphology studies. Scanning electron microscope QuantaTM 3D FEG with Everhart-Thornley Detector (ETD) was used for classical SEM and QuantaTM 250 FEG with the gaseous secondary electron detector (GSED) was used for the environmental scanning electron microscope (ESEM).
