Anotace

V originále

A diagnosis of breast cancer is fraught with challenges for any woman. However, young women have unique psychosocial and medical issues for many years of their lives. Although a diagnosis of breast cancer is less frequent in young women, it is still estimated, that about 100 new cases of breast cancer are diagnosed each year in the Czech Republic in women up to 35 years of age. According to St. Gallens consensus the age under 35 years is independent negative prognostic factor. Clinicians and women are increasingly aware and advocate better screening and diagnosis. The aim of our project is to collect the data of all women with breast cancer up to 35 years in Czech Republic. The primary endpoint is assembly of epidemiological data, improvement of early diagnosis, medical treatment and clinical outcomes. Medical treatment, genetic counselling and psychological support are available within frame of our study. Since January 2005 to December 2007 we obtained the data of 81 patients.
