To determine which of them contains larger number of primitive hematopoietic cells and to evaluate their proliferation potential. All mentioned findings suggest that CD133+ population involves a higher percentage of primitive hematopoietic cells than the CD34+ cell population. Human bone marrow CD133+ cells offer an alternative for CD34+ cells in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. ER -
