V originále
A medical and anthropological analysis of skeletal remains from the cemetery at Antonínská Street in Brno (1785-1883). In the study of skeletal remains of 1083 individuals classical morphoscopic and morphometric methods were used. In paleopathological diagnostics, radiographic, histological and genetic examinations were used in addition to standard procedures. Out of pathological changes, traces of degenerative productive diseases have been noticed at the skeletal remains most frequently. Chronic inflammatory changes being most probably symptoms of syphilis, tuberculosis and osteomyelitis have been found. The cribra orbitalia eventually also hypoplasia of tooth enamel in cases of children, can be regarded as symptoms of a metabolic diseases. Traces of rickets were found out in one case, in two skeletons has been suspected diagnosis of scurvy. Benign tumours and traces of soft tissue tumour metastases have been found in the examined set. Healed traumas have been found sporadically.
