Abstract
V originále
New approaches of sample introduction to inductively-coupled plasma mass spectrometry which are especially suitable for minute amount of samples are presented. Detailed characterization of SALD ICP MS has shown large signal stability over a wide range of laser power density values, the independence of signal on acquisition modes and linear dynamic range over six orders of magnitude. SALD ICP MS with low limits of detection (0.1-14 fmol for Cr, Cu, Co, Fe, Ni, Sn and Zn) is suitable for off-line coupling with capillary electrophoresis (CE) for speciation analysis or selective detection of metals. Applicability to biological samples analysis was demonstrated on investigation of the role of copper ions to regulate cytotoxicity of disulfiram in myeloid leukemia cells. SALD ICP MS allows rapid, sensitive and reproducible method for quantitative analysis of metals with very low consumption of sample. The advantages of SALD are also sample archiving and possibility of consequent analysis in different detection modes, such as MALDI MS or fluorescence).
