The publication presents course reading for classes of Methodology of German as a Foreign Language in university training of future teachers of German. It consists of a theory part including the basics of the learning process and teaching a foreign language, and it outlines the basic issues of the discipline with regard to current tendencies in foreign language methodology. Individual chapters are provided with self-study tasks and tasks that advance the ability to apply research results in practice. The script can be also used in courses of further education for teachers of German.
