Abstract
The new paradigm of the sociology of religion must include at least two powerful sources. The first source lies outside sociology and consists of intercultural study of religions, social and cultural antropology including the cultural studies. Sociology and social philosophy are the second source. Globalization is a common topic of these approches. The concept globalization is another expression of an idea of reflexive or second modernity.
