Abstract
We followed the effects of an antidepressant drug fluoxetine (Fluox), administered sub-chronically to Wistar rats by itself, or in combination with 3,3',5-triiodothyronine. In studies of the interaction of Fluox with the metabolism of thyroid hormones, we applied adapted radiometric enzyme assays for iodothyronine sulfotransferases and uridine 5'-diphospho-glucuronyltransferase, as well as our newly developed radiometric assays for iodothyronine deiodinases of types 1, 2 and 3, using 125I-labelled iodothyronines of high specific radioactivity as substrates.
Abstract (in Czech)
V práci jsme sledovali účinky antidepresiva fluoxetinu (Fluox), subchronicky podávaného potkanům kmene Wistar buď samostatně nebo v kombinaci s 3,3',5-trijodthyroninem. Při studiích interakce Fluox s metabolismem tyreoidálních hormonů jsme použili jednak adaptovaná radiometrická stanovení enzymových aktivit jodothyronin sulfotransferas a uridin 5'-difosfo-glukuronyltransferasy, jednak naše nově vyvinutá radiometrická stanovení enzymových aktivit jodothyronin dejodas typu 1, 2 a 3 s využitím 125I-značených jodothyroninů o vysoké specifické radioaktivitě coby substrátů.
