Abstract

Výstava Moving Image představila ve Futuře část brněnské scény. Mezi zastoupenými umělci nalezneme institucionální spojení, daná studiem na brněnské Fakultě výtvarných umění, zapojením do kolektivních projektů (Fiume, Anymade), společnou účastí na výstavách nebo pásmech projekcí. Pro výběr autorů jsou však podstatné i volnější vazby vzájemné inspirace, sdílených východisek nebo obrazového jazyka. Sem patří zájem o narativní obraz, ať už pohyblivý, statický nebo vytvářený v komplexním instalačním řešení, a také práce se širokou škálou emocí. Výstava se mimo jiné zaměřuje na různé formy spolupráce mezi vystavujícími umělci; ty jsou reprezentovány jak díly již existujícími, tak několika projekty realizovanými pro samotnou výstavu. V tomto smyslu výstava představuje dílčí kurátorský výstup výzkumného projektu GAČR Umění jako spolupráce.

Abstract (in English)

The Moving Image exhibition introduces a part of the Brno-based art scene in the Futura Gallery, Prague. There are both a shared institutional background (all the artists exhibited studied at the Brno Faculty of Fine Arts) and joint participation at the exhibition projects or collective efforts (Fiume collective, Anymade group) that bring these artists together. But also less substantial relations of mutual inspirations, shared outcomes or visual language are important here. The exhibition (among other things) focuses on the various forms of collaboration between the exhibiting artists, be it represented by artworks already existing or those that were made for the occasion of the exhibition. In this sense the exhibition represents a curatorial outcome of the research grant GAČR Art as collaboration.
