Abstract

Příspěvek se koncentruje na výmalbu rodové rezidence Kouniců ve Slavkově u Brna, vzniklé za života říšského vicekancléře Dominika Ondřeje Kounice. V průběhu těchto let byla realizována dnes nedochovaná výzdoba zahradního casina, která přinášela příběh Amora a Psýché a výmalba jedenácti pokojů piana nobile (z nichž se dodnes dochovalo pouze devět). Komparací s několika inventáři se studie pokouší určit původní funkci některých místností a ikonografickým rozborem maleb se snaží interpretovat jejich obsahovou stránku (respektive doplnit stávající interpretace o další možné ideové roviny).

Abstract (in English)

The paper focuses on the decoration of the Kaunitz residence in Slavkov u Brna within the context of the early modern theory of décor. Paintings with a mythological subject were usually located on garden parterres or in selected spaces within private palaces. These subjects were assigned a nonrepresentational character, because of the "untruthfulness" of the sagas. By comparing several inventories, the paper attempts to determine the original function of several rooms, and attempts to interpret certain paintings by analysing their iconographical subject.
