Abstract

Apart from pharmacoresistant epilepsy there are another functional indications for vagus nerve stimulation. The aim of the paper is to prezent experience with the first patiens with vagus nerve stimulation system implanted because of treatment resistant depression.

Mimo klasické indikace je vagová stimulace indikovaná u jiných funkčních onemocnění než epilepsie. Ve sdělení prezentujeme zkušenosti s prvními nemocnými, u nichž byl vagový stimulátor implantovaný pro obtížně léčitelnou depresi.
