Anotace

V originále

An increasing migration within Central-Eastern European migration space, rather inexperienced with foreign newcomers who often seem to settle for longer than previously expected, opens questions of migrants inclusion/exclusion and the processes of reconstruction of legal as well as symbolic boundaries of membership. The research examines the process of inclusion/exclusion of the first generation migrants from former Soviet Union - Belarus, Russia and Ukraine - residing long-term in the Czech Republic (CR) in a transnational perspective. It develops a critical approach towards the concept of inclusion/exclusion of migrants and explores the tensions which accompany the negotiation of migrants belonging in the national symbolic order which presumes exclusive ties of solidarity. Nation states in Europe frame the problem of „integration of immigrants“ as issues of social cohesion and security. But what kind of a problem is inclusion/exclusion from the perspective of the migrants themselves?
