Bércový vřed je chronické onemocnění, které je provázeno mnoha subjektivními symptomy, z nichž nejčastěji je udávána bolest. V rámci komplexního přístupu k nemocnému je třeba určit příčinu bolesti, která může být podmíněna etiologií onemocnění, ztrátou tkáně, přidruženou infekcí, zánětlivými změnami v okolí, ale může mít souvislost s nevhodným způsobem ošetření či výběrem krytí. Léčba bolesti se musí stát součástí léčby bércového vředu, nelze ji opomíjet.

Leg ulcer is a chronic disease that is accompanied by many subjective symptoms, most frequently is reported the pain. Within the frame of a comprehensive approach to the patient is necessary to determine the cause of pain, which may be conditioned by etiology of the disease, loss of tissue, associated infections, surrounding inflammation, but may be related to inappropriate wound care or to dressing selection. Pain management must become part of leg ulcer treatment, it can t be marginalized.
