Abstract

The behavioural sensitization to methamphetamine (MET) induced by 14 day intraperitoneal administration of methamphetaminedecreased the number of the drug doses self-administered per session. This finding might result from increasing efficacy of the drug after sensitization caused by repeated MET intermittent administration. However, aripiprazole did not influence MET intake neither in the behaviourally methamphetamine sensitized nor in the non-sensitized rats.

Abstract (in Czech)

Behaviorální senzitizace navozená 14-ti denním i.p. podáváním metamfetaminu snížila průměrný počet přijatých dávek drogy v sezení. To může být výsledkem zvýšení účinnosti drogy po navození senzitizace. Aripiprazol příjem metamfetaminu v modelu neovlivnil ani u senzitizovaných, ani u nesenzitizovaných zvířat.
