Autor studie se zabývá vztahem mezi genologií a areálovými, resp. filologicko-areálovými studiemi. Poukazuje na určitá nebezpečí plynoucí z nejasnosti hranic tzv. areálových studií a ukazuje, že právě genologický a komparatistický aspekt, který tvořil základ brněnského pojetí areálových studií jako filologicko-areálových, může napomoci tyto překážky překonat.
In English
The author of the present study deals with the relation between genre and area studies, or philological-area studies respectively. He shows certain dangers connected with the unclearness of the boundary of the so-called area studies and points out that there were the genre and comparative aspects, which created the basis of the Brno conception of area studies as philological-area ones, that can contribute to overcoming these obstacles.
