Abstract

Microbiological samples were collected inside the main building of Johann Gregor Mendel station located at the James Ross Island near the coast of Antarctica. The aim was to examine the changes of microbial profile of the antarctic station environment. Twenty-three strains were obtained from the Set No. 1 and 27 strains were obtained from the Set No. 2.Bacillus sp. was the most common Gram-positive strain (9 isolations from the first set, 2 isolations from the second set). Pantoea agglomerans was the most common Gram-negative strain (2 isolations from the first set, 7 isolations from the second set).

Mikrobiologické vzorky byly odebrány v hlavní budově stanice Johanna Gregora Mendela, která se nachází na ostrově James Ross u pobřeží Antarktidy.Cílem bylo posoudit změny mikrobiální bioty stanice v důsledku pobytu expediční posádky. Třiadvacet kmenů bylo získáno ze souboru č. 1 (před nástupem posádky) a 27 kmenů byly získány ze souboru č. 2 (po skončení expedice) .Bacillus sp. byl nejčastější gram-pozitivní bakterií (9 izolací z první sady, 2 izolace z druhá sada). Pantoea agglomerans byl nejčastěji gram-negativní kmen (2 izolace z první sady, 7 izolací z druhé sady).
