Abstract
V originále
Halide (Cl-, Br-, I-) and hydrogencarbonate salt are important for maintaining homeostasis, environmental monitoring and are also present in foods and beverages such as in natural mineral waters. The azodyes such as 4-(2-pyridylazo)resorcinol (PAR) or 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphtol (PAN) are widely utilized chromogenic reagents for determination of a number of metal ions. Unfortunately, the determination of metals is in some cases hampered by the presence of interfering anions, which impact the change in color of the dye-metal complex. However, we found that the change in color of some metal-azodye complexes may be utilized for determination of some anionic analytes. Since the color change in aqueous solution caused by a ligand substitution reaction is sufficiently large (cca. 50 nm), the studied systems were used to establish colorimetric chemodosimeter array devices for analysis of salt mixtures and mineral water samples. The Artificial Neural Networks algorithms were used for simultaneous classification and determination of the anionic analyte levels in the samples.
