Abstract
Our individual media style in a part of our lifestyle. This paper sums up the problems of forming the media competences of children and youth. It’s focused all over the area of audiovisual-program-reception. The media competences are expressively formed in adolescence, when young people form their own media style. In the paper are presented the results of the research project realized on more than 2 000 members of Czech-Slovak Film Database (www.csfd.cz).
