Abstract

Přední odborníci na klinickou výživu, onkologii a intenzivní péči v praktických a názorných kapitolách pojednávají o jedné z největších komplikací protinádorové léčby – podvýživě. Účinná nutriční podpora může u mnoha nemocných rozvoj malnutrice zmírnit, nebo jejímu vzniku zabránit. Jednotlivé kapitoly zpracovávají problematiku metabolizmu onkologicky nemocného (Z. Wilhelm), anémie (J. Kleinová), enterální (Z. Zadák) a parenterální (L. Sobotka) výživy. Text je doplněn o základní schemata předoperační a pooperační péče (P. Těšínský) a přehled referenčních hodnot organizmu, metabolizmu, biochemie krve a moči (Z. Wilhelm). Orientaci usnadní rejstřík a seznam zkratek.

Abstract (in English)

Oncological disease significantly alters the metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids and proteins. The activity of cytokines which are produced by the oncologically altered cells which increase the degradation of key substrates, together with the changes of mitochondria which produce lower amounts of energy in the form of ATP as a result of morphological changes, are the causes of the change. From thís perspective, oncology disease is a condition with an unbalanced energy balance. Oncological diseases are described today as metabolic disease of organism.
