The Conference on the Future of Europe, which was held in 2021 and 2022, presented EU citizens an opportunity to freely share their vision and ideas for the future of the European Union. Zadání práce
In 2021, there was a Conference on the Future of Europe, which aimed to engage EU citizens in shaping the future of the EU. They could write their ideas and visions of what they want from the EU in upcoming decades. With forthcoming elections to the EU parliament in 2024, we can investigate whether the ideas and wants of EU citizens somehow influenced the way European political parties present their agenda in their programmes and priorities. This diploma thesis investigates how the manifestos of europarties looked before and after the Conference, what agenda from the Conference was already represented in the individual programmes and priorities of europarties and explains the major political topics for the people of the EU and how these topics influenced the shaping of the programmes and priorities.
