Active network scanning is one of the most accurate ways to detect vulnerabilities. However, the scan results of large networks depend on the current state of the network and the individual machines. One run of the scan can thus detect only a small fraction of the devices and therefore a small percentage of vulnerabilities actually present in the network. A possible solution is to repeat the network scan at different times of the day to maximize its network coverage.

The aims of the thesis are the following:

• Compare tools for active vulnerability scanning in the terms of accuracy and usability.
• For a selected tool, implement the extension in the Software for enumerating vulnerabilities in a computer network, which will ensure scheduling and execution of scans and the persistent storage of their outputs.
• Design a suitable graphical representation of the obtained data for the web interface.
• Implement backend and frontend services for the designed graphical interface into the dashboard of the Web application for the visualization of security situation in computer network.
