The thesis should consist of two parts: the theoretical and the practical one. In the theoretical part, the student is supposed to give an overview of the programming language Haskell, its standards and the problematic of its syntactic analysis and type system. In particular, a comparison of recent methods for processing Haskell code should be present. In the practical part, the student should provide a base for implementing a stepwise interpreter for Haskell, namely the part responsible for syntactic analysis and both type checking and type evaluation. The particular methods chosen for the implementation should reflect that the stepwise interpreter is to be used for teaching purposes. The expected outcome also includes a well documented library interface for accessing the implemented functions and a simple demonstrative program using this interface to type-annotate Haskell source codes. Creating a complete stepwise interpreter is not the goal of this thesis, this thesis should only allow to supply the missing parts, i.e. an interpreter for the parsed and type-evaluated code and its user interface, as a future work, possibly covered as a separate thesis topic.
