The main objective of this thesis is to find a tool for the CSS department of the Y Soft company which will be suitable for all employees participating in the planning process worldwide. Y Soft Customer Service and Support (CSS) department has currently more than 50 members located worldwide. The management of Technical Specialists, Solution Consultants and Solution Architects with various tasks requires flexible, effective and unified planning of activities. The aim of the thesis is to find (in close cooperation with a technical consultant of the thesis) the most suitable way management should handle global virtual teams.

The student will:
  • Analyze tools and methods for resources planning currently used in Y Soft CSS.
  • Overview, analyze and compare existing tools and methods for resource planning. The analysis and comparison should take into account requirements (on tools and methods) that will emerge during the previous step.
  • Test and evaluate selected tools and methods. The selection will be done based on the results from the previous step.
  • Customization (if needed) of the most suitable tool and methods.
The technical consultant of this thesis will be Radek Štencl, a Y Soft CSS manager.

The thesis is realized in collaboration with Y Soft Corporation a.s.
