Haemolymph coagulation and its role in immune response
Koagulace hemolymfy hmyzu a její úloha v imnunitních reakcích
Abstract
Koagulace hemolymfy je jednou ze základních fyziologických a imunitních reakcí bezobratlých i obratlovců. Je to proces, který udržuje homeostázi, brání nadměrným ztrátám tělních tekutin a vniknutí potenciálních patogenů do těla. Ideálním modelem pro studium imunitního systému hmyzu je Drosophila melanogaster jakožto dobře prostudovaný a geneticky snadno modifikovatelný organismus. Dostupnost mnoha …more
Abstract
Hemolymph coagulation is one of the basic physiological and immune responses of both invertebrates and vertebrates. This process maintains homeostasis, prevents excessive loss of body fluids and entering of potential pathogens into the body. The ideal model to study insect immune system is Drosophila melanogaster, well-studied and genetically tractable organism. The availability of wide range of mutants …more
