This thesis aims to analyze the actual situation regarding open data standardization, whose primary goal is to improve its quality and ensure data interoperability. The theoretical part introduces the currently-used data quality assessment methods, followed by the existing standardization solutions within Europe. Thesis description
The student will explore the domain of open data, its value in different countries, and investigate the main obstacles of their usage. Next, the student will introduce the possible ways of standardization of open data and describe its advantages, especially in maintaining the data quality. In the practical part, the student uses the example of the approach of the Czech government to standardization of Open data and evaluates the method of measuring the data quality of standardized and nonstandardized datasets.
