In order to understand and compare performance of software development projects within Honeywell ACS, it is necessary to have relevant metrics data available in a central place and ready for consolidation, aggregation and analysis. The data is typically coming from different development tools, such as Atlassian JIRA, Jama Software Contour, Microsoft EPM, Atlassian Crucible. A challenge is to collect the data from all the diverse tools, transform them in a consistent format and store it in a central warehouse. The proposed thesis shall help to define and implement techniques and methods effectively collecting data from the various source tools and transform them in a universal representation. The thesis shall include the analysis of the state-of-the-art and state-of-the-practice regarding data warehousing and process metric data collection. In particular, tools for the collection and transformation should be investigated and based on this a design and (prototypical) implementation completed. As part of the design, a conceptual data model for the source and destination data shall be proposed.
