Tato práce se zabývá znázorněním Italsko-americké mafie v Americké kinematografii, Přesně řečeno, v této práci jsou analyzovány čtyři filmy. Hlavním cílem této studie je vyobrazení mafie ve filmech The Black Hand, Little Caesar, Scarface a Goodfellas a jejich vztah k etnické příslušnosti. Abstract

This thesis deals with the representation of Italian American Mafia in the American cinema. To be precise, four films are analyzed in the thesis. The portrayal of the Mafia in The Black Hand, Little Caesar, Scarface, and Goodfellas and their connection to ethnicity is the main aim of this study. This bachelor thesis examines the depiction of the Italian American Mafia in selected works of American cinematography. Four films of the gangster genre are analyzed in the thesis. The Black Hand, Little Caesar, Scarface, and Goodfellas, with added emphasis on the last two films. The key elements of the films explored in the thesis are family, friends, and ethnicity.
