Tato práce zkoumá, jak firemní dary nevládním organizacím v Mexiku fungují jako právní strategie ke snížení daňové povinnosti. Abstract

This thesis explores how corporate donations to NGOs in Mexico function as a legal strategy for tax reduction. It examines donation data, SAT regulations, and interview findings to assess whether corporate philanthropy serves the public or primarily benefits companies through marketing and tax incentives. The study identifies a lack of transparency in reporting and regulation, suggesting that donations are often used to gain fiscal advantages rather than reflect genuine social responsibility.

The main goal of the thesis is to examine the impact of corporate donations to NGOs in Mexico analyzing the tax benefits under the Income Tax Law (Impuesto Sobre la Renta) and the potential ethical and social implications related to these donations.

The research will involve a comprehensive review of existing literature on corporate philanthropy, focusing on the motivations behind corporate donations and their fiscal implications under Mexican tax law. 

A critical analysis of the Income Tax Law and related regulations will be conducted to understand the framework governing deductions for corporate donations. This includes examining the requirements that NGOs must fulfill to qualify for such deductions.

Case Study: An interview with a selected NGO will provide practical insights into how these organizations manage donations and assess their impact on operations. This qualitative approach will help illuminate the real-world effects of corporate donations on NGO sustainability and community engagement. 

By analyzing the regulatory framework and conducting empirical research through case studies, this study aims to provide a nuanced understanding of how corporate donations impact NGOs in Mexico, highlighting both opportunities for social impact and challenges related to ethical practices in philanthropy.
