Zadání práce
Since the war began in Ukraine in February 2022, Russians have tended to migrate to other countries, including Georgia. Migrants are drawn to Georgia for various reasons, including easy entrance into the country and lack of sanctions against Russians. The Russian migration represents a big issue in Georgia, affecting every aspect of quality of life. The ongoing conflict between Russia and Georgia concerning the regions of Abkhazia and Ossetia adds another layer. The opinions and attitudes toward people moving to Georgia from Russia differ from highly negative perceptions to indifference, and of course, migrants notice and are affected by those attitudes. My research will mostly concentrate on how Russians see their experiences after migration and their integration process into Georgian society. This study focuses on the personal experiences of Russians who have arrived in Georgia after February 2022, using in-depth, qualitative interview methods. The research will include eight interviews with Russians aged 20-40 who have moved to Georgia after the war started in Ukraine and have lived there for at least one year.
