Abstract

Magisterská diplomová práce shrnuje stěžejní explikace pojmu umění napříč dějinami. Cílem je ukázat, které vlastnosti byly v konkrétním období preferovány při evaluaci uměleckých artefaktů. Stěžejní částí jsou definice umění předložené ve století dvacátém. Tyto novodobé definice jsou představeny a podrobeny kritice. Na závěr je zodpovězena otázka, zda existuje obecně přijatelná definice umění, zda ji vůbec lze předložit, případně proč to není možné.

Abstract

This Thesis summarizes the key explanations of the concept of art across history. The aim is to show which properties were preferred during a particular period when evaluating artistic artifacts. The core part is the definitions of art presented in the Twentieth Century. These modern definitions are presented and criticized. In the final part, question of whether there is a generally accepted definition of art, whether it can be presented at all, or why it is not possible is answered.

Thesis description
Student/ka vyloží principy správné definice. Popíše historicky významné definice a okolnosti jejich předložení. privede kritiku všech dosud nabízených definic. Pokusí se argumentovat ve prospěch definice vlastní nebo přejaté.
