Optical Emission Spectroscopy of Cyclopropylamine Low Pressure Plasmas
Anotace
Tato práce prezentuje optickou emisní spektroskopii vybraných atomových a molekulárních spektrálních rysů (Ar emisní čáru na 696.54 nm, Hα a Hβ čáry a CN molekulární vazbu na 388.34 nm) v nízkotlakém radiofrekvenčním výboji v čistém argonovém (Ar) plynu a cyclopropylamine/Ar směsi plynů na dvou operačních tlacích (2.7 a 50 Pa). Emisní intenzity byly studovány jako funkce výkonu …více
Abstract
This thesis presents optical emission spectroscopy of selected atomic and molecular spectral features (the Ar emission line at 696.54 nm, Hα and Hβ lines, and the CN molecular band at 388.34 nm) in the low-pressure radio frequency discharge in pure argon (Ar) and cyclopropylamine/Ar gas mixtures at two operating pressures (2.7 and 50 Pa). The emission intensities were studied …více
Zadání práce
Hydrogen cyanide (HCN) is one of the most abundant organic molecules found in interstellar clouds, comets, and planetary atmospheres. It forms through radical reactions between CHx and N produced from methane and nitrogen molecules by the action of UV radiation, cosmic rays, or lightning. This small molecule plays a key role in understanding the evolution of the universe and the origin of life. We can also find it in laboratory plasma fed with vapors of organic molecules with an NH2 group or ignited in a gas mixture of hydrocarbon gas and NH3 or N2. This work aims to investigate low-pressure plasma with cyclopropylamine (CPA) vapors using optical emission spectroscopy of radiofrequency pulsed and continuous discharges under various conditions (power, frequency, pressure, and percentage of CPA in argon). The goal is to obtain information about the production of CN and other atomic and molecular particles in plasma and to correlate them with the chemical structure of layers deposited from radicals created by plasma.
