Diplomová práce
Frontend of the AEON Sketchbook application
Anotace
Frontend efektivně komunikuje s backendem a udržuje jeho kontrolu nad stavem aplikace. Implementace zahrnuje různé komponenty …více
Abstract
This Master’s thesis focuses on the development of the user-facing part of the AEON Sketchbook, an application designed for the inference of Boolean networks from biological assumptions and observations. The result of this thesis is a Web component based implementation of frontend using the Lit framework. The frontend efficiently communicates with backend and keeps it in control of the application …více
Zadání práce
AEON Sketchbook is an actively developed application based on the existing AEON toolbox [1] and symbolic algorithms [2] for the inference of Boolean networks from biological assumptions and observations. It's purpose is to make these methods available in a comprehensive yet user friendly manner. The application is developed using the Tauri framework, which allows to combine native (Rust) backend functionality with a frontend based on Web technologies.
The goal of this thesis is to develop the user-facing part of the application using modern Web technologies and best practices. In particular, the application should be modularized using the standard of Web components (or an appropriate framework based on this standard) [3]. The state of the application will be communicated using events, such that it is possible to observe the state of the UI using the application backend in order to implement features like undo-redo stack or state serialization.
The main components of the application that should be included in the implementation cover the overall window navigation based on tabs/tool panes, the editor of regulatory networks (i.e. influence graphs), editor of network functions (including declaration of the uninterpreted functions of the model), list of observations/properties, and any additional necessary dialogs or sub-windows. The exact requirements for the implementation will be communicated during regular meetings.
