Introduction:
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into software applications has the potential to revolutionize user experience, automate tasks, and provide intuitive functionalities. Lumeer, as an open-source project management tool, stands to benefit immensely from such integration, enhancing its already user-friendly interface and broadening its capabilities.
Objective:
The primary aim of this diploma thesis is to explore, design, and implement AI functionalities within Lumeer, focusing on areas where AI can provide the most significant impact and user benefit.
Tasks:
Investigation and Feasibility Study:
- Conduct a comprehensive study to identify potential areas within Lumeer where AI can be integrated.
- Prioritize scenarios based on feasibility and potential impact on user experience.
Design and Model Testing:
- Design potential AI solutions for the identified scenarios.
- Experiment with GPT models in a commercial platform (e.g., ChatGPT) to test the viability of the designed solutions.
- Evaluate the model's performance and refine based on feedback and results.
Backend Implementation:
- Develop the backend infrastructure to support the AI functionalities.
- Ensure that AI services are securely integrated, with calls made via the backend to maintain flexibility and security.
User Interface Extension:
- Design and implement UI components to allow users to access and benefit from the new AI features.
- Ensure that the UI is intuitive and enhances the overall user experience.
