This thesis addresses the problem of smart home central server board design with the aim of developing a Raspberry Pi-based central server board for a typical smart home project. Thesis description
Smart homes are becoming defacto standard this day. There are many ways, how a smart home can be designed. Analyze typical smart home projects. Find what types of sensors and actors can be used, and what are their communication protocols. Based on the analysis, design your own board with Raspberry Compute Module and additional components (e.g. relays, DI, DO, 0-10V, 1wire) so it can be used in smart home projects.
