Cílem bakalářské práce "Cvičebnice konverzačních aktivit" je navrhnout cvičebnici konverzačních aktivit zaměřených jak na správné a přesné použití jazyka, tak především na plynulost. Zadání práce
The thesis aims to design a workbook of speaking activities focused both on accuracy and especially fluency and comprises two parts – theoretical and practical. The theoretical part tries to answer the question whether it is possible to teach students how to speak English, deals with the division of four basic language skills, explains some terms related to the methodology of teaching speaking, and lists types of communication and classroom interaction. Further, it attempts to advise how to encourage students to speak English and how to maximise student talking time in English lessons, and informs about some well-known teaching methods and approaches. The practical part suggests types of speaking activities, recommends how to make use of various materials for eliciting conversation, presents samples of the workbook and provides with instructions how to make most of it. Since the speaking activities will be tested in practice, the thesis also summarises students' feedback on some of the activities received on the basis of students' verbal evaluation or on the basis of lesson observation.
