Anotace

Práca sa zaoberá výkonom EJB3 v JBoss clustri a metrikami na meranie ich výkonu. V prvej časti práce je popísaná aplikácia vytvorená pre tieto účely a postupy použité pri jej implementácii. V druhej časti je popis metrík, merania uskutočnené na clustroch s rôznymi nastaveniami a v rôznom prostredí a diskusia výsledkov meraní.

Abstract

The thesis deals with performance of EJB3 in JBoss cluster and with metrics designed to measure this performance. First part of the thesis describes an application that was developed for this purpose and the techniques used at its implementation. The second part of the thesis contains the description of metrics and measurements executed on a cluster with different settings and in different environments. It also contains a discussion of the results of these measurements.

Zadání práce

Goal of the thesis is to develop an application, which measures performance of EJB3 beans in JBoss cluster.

Student will design a metric to measure performance of both @Stateless and @Stateful EJB3 beans. Next, student will design and implement an application to simulate behavior of a cluster and support measurement.

In the implementation, the student will leverage following technologies: Maven, EJB3 and JBoss application server and discuss utilization of the chosen technologies.

A representative set of tests will be performed; finally, student will present results of the measurement and discuss how the results are affected by external influences (e.g. environment and cluster settings).
