Anotace

Bakalářská práce “Rodinné vztahy v románech Pýcha a předsudek a Rozum a cit Jane Austenové” si klade za cíl prozkoumat rodinné vztahy a záležitosti, zobrazené ve světě Jane Austenové. Cílem práce je analyzovat otcovství, mateřství, námluvy, manželství a hlavní důraz je kladen na význam sesterství na pozadí doby regentství v Anglii. Tato témata jsou zkoumána především v románech Pýcha a předsudek a Rozum a cit od Jane Austenové.

Zadání práce
The purpose of the Bachelor thesis is to analyze the family relationships and matters in the Regency Period of Jane Austen. These themes are primarily explored in the novels Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility. The main focus would be on the dysfunctional families, presented in both novels. The emphasis would be on how the Regency era, characterized by the rise of individualism, urge for social rights and freedom, influenced the family relations. Secondly, the thesis will focus on the mother/daughter relationships, the father figures, parenthood and puts the special emphasis on the relationships between the siblings, especially on the significance of sisterhood, which is frequently portrayed in Jane Austen's work.
