After the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2023, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelen-sky has been delivering numerous speeches addressing not only the nation but also Russian citizens, European politicians, and many others. This thesis argues that he employs various stylistic features and persuasive strategies to convey his statements. The work will introduce which techniques are frequently utilized in war speeches and, with the functionality of the Sketch Engine, analyze which are commonly used by Vladimir Zelensky to impact the target international audience to a more considerable extent.
