Zadání práce
The master student will focus mainly on the analysis and finding a solution to the following issues:
  1. Discrimination on the basis of nationality in the field of copyright protection
  2. The analysis of the given topic in international treaties and also in the case-law of relevant courts; the analysis will be based mainly on the case-law of the CJEU or foreign courts in legal systems that are close to the Czech legal system.
The thesis will result in a conclusion showing the results of the scientific analysis, including a summary of the key conclusions that emerge from the literature and case law selected by the student.
Timeframe for thesis preparation
  • June - October 2021: Search and study of literature and sources, preparation of the outline, and subsequent submission to the thesis supervisor. On November 5, 2021, attendance to the meeting of students writing their thesis: test; discussion.
  • October - November 2021: Researching sources, developing thesis concept. By November 30, 2021, compile a list of primary and secondary sources, drafting introduction and thesis content and their submission via MUNI IS; on December 10, 2021, attending the second student meeting: defense of introduction and thesis content.
  • December 2021 to January 2022: Consultation of thesis concept with the thesis advisor. Submission of the first chapter of the thesis to the thesis submission office by January 15, 2022
  • February to March 2022: Preparation of the final version after incorporating the thesis advisor's comments.
The final version of the thesis must be sent electronically to the thesis advisor before it is submitted. For others, see the relevant guidelines of the Dean.
