This thesis will discuss the issue of extremism in Europe in the 21 st century, specifically the topic of antisemitism. Its first part will summarize the modern history of antisemitism within the borders of the European continent. This is important since antisemitism was not abolished with the end of the Second World War and it is still a major issue even in these days, which can be proven by many recent extreme right-wing incidents. Summary will be therefore done in order to introduce the topic as well as to define antisemitism itself. The second part of this thesis will show modern antisemitism practically. This will be achieved by writing a case study on the Scandinavian group Nordic Resistance Movement, also known as Nordfront. The study will consist of analysing the group’s political programme, their history of threats and aggressions, their online podcasts, and by comparing them to other modern antisemitic groups in Europe or even to the German NSDAP from the era of World War II, as their goals do seem common in various points. Outcomes of the analysis will then be assessment of the situation in the North and prediction, whether Nordfront is a real threat to the Jewish community and to the Scandinavian and European values.
