Abstract
Hlavním cílem této práce je sestavit katalog umělců, které Gaius Plinius Secundus uvádí v posledních pěti knihách svého rozsáhlého díla Naturalis Historia (Přírodověda). Konkrétně se jedná o knihy XXXIII. až XXXVII., které pojednávají o kovech, výtvarném umění a drahokamech. Krátce také přibližuje autorův život a obsah výše zmíněného díla. Důraz je ale kladen na katalog umělců, který obsahuje stručné životopisné medailonky, které uvádějí umělcův původ, dobu, místo působení a seznam jeho děl.
Abstract
The main aim of this work is to compile a catalog of artists that Gaius Plinius Secundus presents in the last five books of his large work Naturalis Historia. Specifically, these are books XXXIII. to XXXVII., which deal with metals, fine arts and gems. It also briefly focuses on the author's life and content of the above-mentioned work.
