Thesis description
The number of patients diagnosed with nonspecific intestinal inflammation is increasing every year. These patients often have an increased number of certain genera of intestinal bacteria that may play a role in the development of this disease. Frequent use of antibiotics in treatment leads to the development of resistance in these bacteria and therefore to its inefficiency. Therefore, it is necessary to search for new active substances, test their activity and possible potential for use in therapy. The aim of this work is to determine the minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) of newly synthesized substances and their effect on the physiological properties of selected bacterial genera as well as to propose the possible use of promising compounds in the treatment of intestinal inflammation.
